About Us:
Lighthearted Productions provides programs that promote a love for reading, strengthen reading comprehension, build imagination & confidence in children. The programs are age appropriate, North Carolina curriculum-based and foster character traits such as kindness, generosity, and determination.

learning opportunities, while using drama to enrich the lives of young people.
Why Drama?
Drama promotes teamwork, builds self-confidence and strengthens imagination. Lighthearted Productions uses games, stories, acting techniques to put students’ creative thinking skills to work.
Artistic Director: Stefanie Nicholson Haney
has a B.F.A. in Theater and Performance from the University Of Georgia. She has been teaching in the Charlotte area for over 10 years. She has toured professionally in NC, SC, KY, & GA. She has a passion for working with children. She can be found teaching at Matthews Playhouse and Providence Day. Stefanie has previously taught at Children’s Theater of Charlotte, Discovery Place, The Nature Museum and Carmel Christian School. She has taught workshops for teacher accreditation and has written and led residencies in schools throughout Charlotte and surrounding areas. Stefanie believes drama teaches confidence and fosters a love for reading that is important for children of all ages.
